Hyde Farm offers several different walking tours including the Walking History Tour, the Nature Walk, and the Full Moon Hike. The Walking History Tour offers a unique glimpse into agricultural history where guests can explore its 135 acres of natural beauty and historical significance. Visitors can expect to see features dating back to 1840, including terraced fields and the original homestead. The tour also highlights a pond stocked with fish and a variety of wildlife. The seasonal Nature Walk Tour allows visitors to explore the natural surroundings, plants, and signs of wildlife on the trails of Hyde Farm Park. The Full Moon Hike allows visitors to experience Hyde Farm Park after dark under the light of the full moon.
Tours last between 45 minutes and 2 hours depending on the program, and usually start near the red gate at the end of the parking lot. Be sure to dress for the weather, bring shoes for hiking, and some water and any other hiking essentials you may need.
Hyde Farm Park is part of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, and jointly managed by Cobb County and the National Park Service. The park is located along the bank of the Chattahoochee River between Johnson Ferry Road and Morgan Falls Dam.
