St. Andrews Rowing Camp on the Chattahoochee River

The Art Place – Mountain View

The 2024 Art Place summer camp is offering an adventure through Our Wild World. You will encounter painting, drawing, and multi- media while on your journey.  Lessons do not repeat and students are free to sign up for both AM & PM sessions, or mix-and-match with their Specialty Camps.  Specialty camps offered include dance camps, jazz camp, wheel pottery camp, color your world camp, inspired creativity camp, dance tumble cheer camp, stories through art camp, and many more.  For more information, please visit artplacemarietta.org.

Sewell Mill Library and Cultural Center

Camp Sewell takes place at the Sewell Mill Cultural Center and offers an exciting summer adventure. Each week in 2024, campers will explore different National Parks through a variety of artistic activities, including sculpture, painting, theater, and more. Registration closes the Friday before each camp week at 12pm or once full. Early registration is recommended.  The camp is divided into two half-day sessions, which can be combined for a full-day experience. Activities include field trips, various art projects, and outdoor play.  Campers should bring a water bottle, two snacks, and a nut-free sack lunch.

Fullers Recreation Center

Harrison Tennis Center

Atlanta Juniors Rowing

Just minutes from the Chattahoochee Nature Center, the Atlanta Juniors boathouse offers a comprehensive summer rowing camp experience for new and experienced rowers aged 12-18. The “Learn to Row” camps introduce beginners to rowing fundamentals, equipment, terminology, and safety, with hands-on practice on the Chattahoochee River. For those with some experience, the “Returning Rower” camp focuses on advanced rowing techniques and stroke improvement over a two-week period. Additionally, “Technical Open Practices” provide flexible sessions for seasoned rowers to enhance their skills and on-water fitness. Each program is designed to develop rowing abilities in a supportive and educational environment.

St. Andrews Rowing Club

You don’t need to be a member of the club to participate in this rowing camp also located just minutes from the Chattahoochee Nature Center.  St. Andrew Rowing offers a comprehensive Summer Camp designed to develop and hone rowing skills, preparing participants for the fall season and seasonal regattas. The camp provides four distinct options: “Learn to Row,” a fundamental program for young athletes interested in trying a new sport; “Foundations,” a beginners program for those who have completed at least one Learn to Row session; “Conditioning,” an advanced program for novice and varsity rowers looking to maintain and improve their skills over the summer; and “Open Boathouse,” offering seasoned athletes open access to facilities during designated times. Under the guidance of experienced coaching staff and seasoned athlete-volunteers, campers gain hands-on experience in eight and four-person rowing shells, learn about rowing safety, boat handling, terminology, and techniques from beginner to advanced levels, all while enjoying the beautiful Chattahoochee River. These camps offer the most continuous time on the water of any rowing camp in the Metro Atlanta area, providing an excellent foundation for those considering joining a rowing squad in the fall.

Sunny Brook Stables

Red Heart Horse Camps at Sunny Brook Stables provide an enriching summer activity for children while supporting a nonprofit dedicated to caring for horses with special needs. These camps run from 10am to 1pm and offer a variety of engaging, horse-centric activities. Each day, campers participate in grooming, riding ponies or horses, farm tours, and meet-and-greets with various animals, including horses, ponies, donkeys, goats, pigs, ducks, and chickens. Additionally, children enjoy crafts, games, and themed lessons about horses, making each day unique and educational. The camp fees directly support the nonprofit, contributing to the care and veterinary needs of the horses. The Music Studio of Atlanta

The Music Studio of Atlanta offers a variety of camps for your aspiring musicians. Camps in 2024 include Vocal Showcase Summer Camp, Swift Era Vocal & Guitar Camp, Beginning Piano Lab Summer Camp, and Music Around the World Summer Camp. Camps are available for 7-15 year olds, 9-15 year olds, 8-12 year olds, and 4-7 year olds and take place Monday through Friday from 10am to 3pm (9am to noon for 4-7 year olds), and campers are to bring their own lunch, snack, and a labeled water bottle.

Atlanta Ice House

The Madhatters Skating Academy invites skaters of all levels, from Snowplow Sam 1 to Basic 6 for Learn To Skate Camp, as well as Pre-Free Skate through Gold for Figure Skating Camp, to join their 2024 Summer Camps. These camps offer a fun and enriching way to improve skating skills through daily on-ice and off-ice training sessions. Under the guidance of Skating Academy Director Tatiana Kozmava, a former international competitor and performer, and a team of experienced coaches accredited by Learn to Skate USA, the Professional Skating Association, and the United States Figure Skating Association, campers will receive top-notch instruction. Skaters are encouraged to bring a water bottle, sneakers, and a yoga mat for the camp activities, ensuring they have everything needed for a comprehensive training experience.
